Mary Jane is a registered member of OAMHP, The Ontario College of Social Work and is a Certified Member with ICEEFT (The International Centre for Excellence in EFT)

Mary Jane Millar attended the University of Western Ontario for her undergrad attended the only International Social Work Program in Canada (University of Calgary) to complete her MSW in 2002.  Her graduate level research involved working with the First Nations University of Canada.  She has  25+ years working experience in the mental health and trauma-related fields.

Mary Jane is an EFT certified therapist.  EFT is based on 50 years of attachment science as it pertains to the treatment of emotional problems, especially anxiety and depression.  EFT is an integrated approach with specific modalities to treat individuals, couples and families.  The aim of EFT is to reshape an attachment bond and create more effective co-regulation; increasing an individuals' self-regulation and resilience.  

Mary Jane is also a certified sex therapist.  She practices from an anti-oppressive, sex positive framework in order to create a safe space for intervention and treatment.  She provides support to chosen family as well as biological family and works with relational dyads inclusive of consensual non monogamy.   

Mary Jane provides supervision and consultation to registered social workers and psychotherapists in the form of individual or group.  She a co-founder of the SW Ontario EFT.  

Mary Jane is an approved provider for Veterans Affairs Canada and NIHB.  

Truth and reconciliation is an important component of her practice.  Accessibility for Indigenous clients is a priority.
